Vamoosh enters the U.S. with Target rollout
Vamoosh, the UK cleaning brand best known for its pet hair dissolver, has entered the U.S. through a launch at Target, with its Pet Hair Dissolver and Washing Machine Cleaner rolling out to 600 stores nationwide. The company, developed by Cares Laboratory, said the move follows a decade of growth in the UK, where Vamoosh says it is stocked in more than 5,000 retail outlets and had sold more than 10 million Pet Hair Dissolver sachets by January 2025. Target’s site now lists both the Pet Hair Dissolver and a washing machine cleaner under the Vamoosh brand, marking the company’s first scaled U.S. retail push. (petage.com)
Why it matters: For veterinary professionals, this is less about a new pet product than a sign of how mainstream pet-related home care has become. Products aimed at managing pet hair on bedding, blankets, and laundry speak to a familiar pain point for pet parents, especially those managing heavy shedders, allergy concerns, or frequent washing of pet textiles in multi-pet households. It also shows mass retail continuing to carve out space for adjacent pet-care categories beyond food, treats, and toys. (target.com)
What to watch: Watch for whether Target expands distribution beyond the initial 600-store rollout and whether Vamoosh adds more SKUs in the U.S. later in 2026, as the company says it plans to do. (petage.com)
